Answers Warm Line phones and provides a friendly, welcoming tone for callers. Listens actively to caller concerns and provides information, education, verbal assurance, encouragement and support. Provides or assists in providing referrals to appropriate agencies and services, including intervention or referral to emergency or crisis services if necessary. If or when appropriate, provides advocacy services by researching information for callers, placing phone calls on behalf of the caller, and otherwise directly intervening to connect the caller to a service provider. Actively participates in maintaining the program’s established written system for tracking calls and referrals. Attends and participates in staff meetings and other aspects of the day-to-day operations and community life of the worksite. Works cooperatively with other staff to assure the smooth and seamless delivery of comprehensive Project Return services to the Agency and its members.

Coordinate, schedule, support and serve as the lead for the Peer Advocate training. Communicate and serve as the lead for the collaborative training with LADMH, and other outside organizations. Provide support for Project Return Peer Support Network trainings, including but not limited to leadership development, regional support and facilitator meetings and hosting CORE VALUES and other training as needed. Coordinate and communicate with internal and external trainers, training logistics, confirmations and pre/post training evaluations. Keep PRPSN staff informed of dates and location of where onsite training will occur. Assist with the design and development of staff and paid volunteers. Assist with design and development of staff and paid volunteer for PRPSN program and staff training when delegated by the Executive Director.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum three to five years administrating social services or experience providing general clerical administrative duties and educational/training support services, experience in a non-profit setting is highly preferred.. Ability to work extended periods of time with a minimum of supervision, especially in identifying and initiating meaningful activities to stay busy and productive. Ability to be an integral part of a team, create a welcoming environment and respectfully set limits. Knowledgeable in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Oversees visits to existing groups to provide needed assistance to Service Area Recovery Supporters (SARS) and members to ensure the meetings are functioning smoothly. Provide members with on-going information about general PRPSN functions, including conferences, training, fund raising events, social outings, recreational opportunities, trips and vacations, community involvement opportunities and other similar topics. Coordinate and support the SARS in their assigned region with recruiting and training of Recovery Facilitators and members. Assist SARS with forming new groups, and problem solve though various issues as they come up to ensure the smoothly delivery of groups. Coordinate and monitor Model Peer Support Group Evaluation process by distributing and collecting PRPSN group evaluation forms on a monthly basis, enter completed evaluations into an excel spreadsheet and utilize information to provide supervision, training and support to SARS in their assigned region. Work with TAY Career Developer, Education Coordinator, and Housing Coordinator to assess students training needs and develop effective teaching interventions. Provide day to day coaching for students at various worksites as assigned. Communicate in a professional manner to student’s supervisors, student’s professors, and student’s landlords.
Qualifications: High School diploma required plus at least one year experience in the human services field. Must possess or very quickly acquire a broad range of basic work skills applicable to a variety of work settings, including manual labor, skilled & unskilled service work, and office work. Must function well in a team-oriented approach to member services. Flexible work schedule to include some evenings or weekends, and on call cell phone services when necessary. Will work under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer. The position will cover two areas – Board/Committees coordinator and individual donor activities. The position will provide full support to the Board/Committees by coordinating all meeting logistics, attending meetings; sending out meeting notices; taking/distributing minutes; maintaining roster/ handbooks, preparing annual orientation manual for new members, assisting with preparation for large Board activities such as Board nominations, annual elections and the annual retreat; communicating with Board; drafting, editing and/or producing Board correspondence as necessary or requested. The second area covers supporting the donors/individual giving activities for MHA. This includes the annual funds, special appeals and other projects. Will coordinate special events, working with volunteers and the community. Will assist in other public relations and fund-raising activities, including with grants.
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, or related field required. Must be able to work in fast moving communications and fundraising department. Demonstrated ability to write grammatically correct narrative prose in English. Accurate typing at 45 wpm. Devises and implements strategies for outreach to members who tend to isolate themselves. Provides individual and group coaching, counseling mentoring instruction, training, feedback and positive reinforcement for members in areas such as money management, grooming and hygiene, meal preparation, public transportation, and other independent living skills. If licensed and as appropriate based on licensure status and scope of practice, provides individual and group psychotherapeutic services, reviews, monitors and co-signs on member service plans developed by lower level staff, as necessary reviews, monitors and manages psychotherapeutic and/or medical treatment programs of members, and performs other similar professional services and activities as needed within the scope of practice of the license or degree.
Qualifications: Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts preferred. Minimum 3-5 years experience providing direct services to adults with mental illness, substance abusing and/or developmentally disabled population. Excellent organizational skills a must along with good writing skills. Must demonstrate the ability to provide effective supervision and leadership to a diverse staff who possess a wide range of skills, abilities and professional competencies. If applicable must participate in program designed for Licensed Waivered staff to attain supervised hours and be willing to pursue Licensed Clinical Social Worker status.
